Each time I hear or read the word “chiropractic” I feel scared and nervous. The single thought of stretching my bones most especially on the spine area gives me so much fear and apprehension. But this outlook, made a 360 degree turn when I decided to finally give it a try.
To those who are not familiar with chiropractic treatment, it is a form of alternative medicine that focuses on diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, under the belief that these disorders affect general health via the nervous system. (source: Wikipedia) The health care professional who practices this kind of treatment is called a chiropractor.
Just to give you a brief background of my condition, I learned I have scoliosis when I applied for school in College. From time to time, I had it check by my doctor. But, these past few months, I’ve been experiencing excruciating back pains. Do you still remember Katy Perry’s concert in Philippine Arena last May? I almost miss attending that one because of my back problem. I can’t barely walk, I was in total pain. Painkillers saved me that night. However, I try my best to veer away from taking pain killers as there might be side effects to my body. The pain went off then, but there were days that it will recur and make me feel so uncomfortable plus I noticed that I easily get tired. Not until, I scheduled my first visit to my chiropractor, Dr. George Cromack D.C..
Dr. George Cromack Medical Background
Dr. Cromack has 33 years of medical experience under his belt, having worked in Hawaii as an independent medical examiner for 20 years and in Europe for 5, treating professional athletes.
He graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences, specializing in Spinal Medicine, in 1981, and completed his post graduate work in Radiology and Sports Medicine. In addition, Dr. Cromack participated in a Master’s Program for Whiplash Injuries and completed a Medical Fellowship in Acupuncture.
He was an Independent Medical Examiner in the state of Hawaii, and appeared on numerous occasions as an expert witness in the Hawaii court system. He also lent his expertise on TV and Radio as a guest.
Aside from these, he’s also the author of the book, Renew Yourself: Keys to Rejuvenation and Youthing, and considered a pioneer in the modern live movement in the US, having worked with live foods since 1973.
My First Chiropractic Treatment
As I enter his clinic, I still felt scared and nervous. To be honest, I have a little knowledge of how the treatment will be administered. Good thing he was very kind and accommodating. He graciously gave a gist of the treatment before we started. My heart and mind were at peace knowing that my chiropractor is a certified expert backed with 33 years of medical practice.
Through chiropractic medicine, Dr. Cromack improves the health of millions of Filipinos, helping them find relief from persistent pain that stems from spinal problems. He treats cases that include (but are not limited to) headaches and migraines, sciatica, carpal tunnel, and neck and back problems.
An instrument which is like a scanning device was placed on my back and printed this result. The upper right with white boxes represents the normal back data. The upper left is my result, if you would notice there were green, blue, red and few white boxes. If I still remember it correctly, green means mild, blue is moderate and red is severe. So, I have too much red on my result. No wonder, I always suffer from back and neck pain.
This was the basis used by Dr. Cromack in treating me.
I don’t have a photo when I was treated by Dr. Cromack. Here, you can see my friend, Rochelle of RochelleRivera.com, same thing was done to me. And I felt so much relief after this. There’s honestly no pain felt, I was just a bit shocked when I heard the sound of my bones when stretched. But, other than that, this treatment gave me so much comfort. I can easily move my neck from left to right, my recurring back pain vanished and I had a good night sleep. Now, I totally regret why I waited this long to have this kind of treatment. I still have to continue my regular session since the result of my test gave too much red marks. I’m not sure if my scolio will still be treated or what, but, whatever it takes, I’m willing to give this a shot. I can’t wait for my next treatment with Dr. Cromack.
To those of you who are interested to have an alternative treatment for your severe headaches and persistent neck and back pain, I highly recommend Dr. George Cromack. He can help you achieve optimum health and well-being. Schedule your appointment now.
